Our position: San Francisco media has eroded our trust.
In our view the current landscape of San Francisco media has a distinct and clear bias toward controversy and seemingly caters to a political position more often than not, thereby creating a problematic disparity of treatment towards neighborhood groups like us. As advocates on the front line of key issues impacting Hayes Valley we have had first hand experience with media bias. For this reason we have refrained from speaking to the press (in particular the Chronicle, Examiner, Hoodline, and SFGate) and remain resolute in maintaining our voice and positions via our own communications/media channels.

While we cautiously explore aligning ourselves with a journalist reporter, here’s some criteria for consideration:
You must be based in San Francisco and have a good understanding of neighborhood advocacy challenges with respect to San Francisco bureaucracy.
We wholeheartedly reserve the right to interview/vet you in order to ensure a professional working relationship with an aim of being represented accurately and fairly.
